Busy as a bee

Helloooo it's been a while! I am currently standing in the middle of my room holding a frame for my new bed that we're putting.up! It takes 5 people to put up a bed :p I've been extremely busy lately what with my part time job, volunteer work and school! We had a 2 week holiday which was really nice, tiring though! It included lots of parties and late nights :D
Watched Inception on Friday, it's so good.but so confusing! :o And I went to the cinema to watch Gravity which was also very good :) I freaked out at one point though...

What else? Did I write about my birthday? Well anyway I got a totoro onesie, a rice cooker, some amazing tea with a thermos and a whale tea strainer and several other cool things :3

I should.probably help with the bed.... Till next time! :p

More Majamba fun~

It's quite cool working for Majamba, it's a really interesting concept and we're trying to find ways to get people more interested. The problem is it's been 20 days (out of 100) and we've only got 4 boosters.... We need many many more! Even just boosting 22 francs would be a big help.

Let's make music free! :p
Imagine being able to go to a concert as a reward for doing volunteer work, or even using the hugs you earn to start your own project or buy fairtrade gifts made in India!

When we were working at the Paléo Stand in Nyon for the Paléo Festival then we had these amazing bracelets made by women in India to get some money, we would love to help them.

And imagine if you could support 1'000'000 artists with this musical platform. There are so many talented people out there just waiting to be discovered :3

So please spread the word about Majamba and give us feedback! :)

25 Sept 2013

MAJAMBA :D

Here is a little something about the social network called Majamba. Let's make music free by doing good in the world! :)

A REVOLUTIONARY IDEA TO MAKE MUSIC FREE AND GIVE ARTISTS A FAIR DEAL.

Majamba and Universal Music will offer the best music experience via the Majamba Music Network to everyone who discovers and promotes new artists, authentic artisans and inspiring entrepreneurs.

Why? Music has always been a force for good. More than forty years ago, Jimi Hendrix said “If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music”. Today, there are millions of artists, artisans and entrepreneurs waiting to be discovered and get a fair deal for their creativity and talent.

Majamba proposes a new network community, where the users will access and enjoy the music they love wherever they are. As active member, people will not only “do good”, but will also contribute to sustainable artist creativity which drives our industry since decades. Universal Music is – therefore – very proud to be part of this social & cultural adventure”. – Ivo Sacchi, Managing Director of Universal Music Switzerland.

Getting goodies by doing good is the essence of Majamba. Today thanks to Universal Music the “Goodies” just got much, much bigger.” – Rajiv Srivastava, CEO & Co-Founder of Majamba.

What? The goal of Majamba Music Network is to offer everyone the opportunity to discover and promote new talent and in return get the best music experience – music concerts, “Money Can’t Buy” experiences and exclusive music downloads – for free!

How? In order to finance the search for talent worldwide, Majamba is launching a crowdfunding campaign on 100-Days.Net. During the next 100 Days, everyone can support the Majamba “Make Music Free” campaign with as little as 22 Swiss Francs. Gifts for supporters include T-shirts, Music+ gift cards, Exclusive and Limited edition CDs, concert tickets, VIP pack from Universal Music Artists, for example: Robin Thicke, Maroon5, Ellie Goulding, Rolling Stones, Bastille, OneRepublic and many more. All rewards will be announced on the campaign blog: MakeMusicFree.Org

Roll Out Plan: Majamba Music Network will be rolled-out starting December 2013 in Switzerland, India, United Kingdom and the United States. Majamba Music Network will promote, distribute music and authentic products around the world.

Nao's News~

Hello~ ~ ~ ~

I hope everyone is happy :3 I am!! Even if I should be working at the moment...
I've been at school for 2 weeks and the atmosphere in the class is not bad at all, we even went and had lunch together by the lake one time. So cool! >w<
I went swimming haha... Only me... T-T But it was really nice and refreshing.

Anyways~ I'm listening to Step-Vampire Weekend at the moment-> LOVE IT *^*

I just went to a YFU re-entry weekend and I don't know how to describe it... we were only there for 24 hours but by the end I had a group of friends I felt like I'd known for ages! It was epic.
We shared our experiences from our exchanges and it really felt good to talk about how we felt and how to reintegrate and stuff. It was strange for me cos I've been back for 8 months and they just got back a month ago but it was still cool~~ Olivia was there too :3
And Janine! She just got back from America so yeh.

We played a bunch of crazy games and I think I won't go into much detail because they were really really crazy!!!

I've got a Spanish test tomorrow... and I need to read a book for Tuesday
 :O

3 Sept 2013

High school~

I've started gymnase! I'm in 2nd year without having done the 1st year so I'm still rather confused but it's super cool here! My class is really nice :) Sometimes the school days seem reeeaaally long but oh well, that's life :P
I need to concentrate on my studies so that I don't fail my year and my exams etc..
Oh yeh, today I started chinese! It seems like a fun class hehe! The teacher is epic.
Don't really know what else to write so I guess I'll write more another day :)

I need to dedicate a whole post to Majamba (where I'm working) I think!

Ja ne!

30 Jul 2013

PS

Oh yeh and I got the job from 2 posts back! ^__^
It's only once a week so I don't get payed much but it's better than nothing! I need to get a real part time job soon...

Hallo hallo hallo~

Hello everyone! It's been a while. Hope you're all well, I certainly am hehe!
So I have been on holiday for a loooong time now and I haven't done that much.... but I'll talk about the things I have done!
So last week for example I was working at Majamba (a social network where you get points called hugs if you do volunteer work and you can use the hugs to get concert tickets, to start a mission of your own or to buy goods!) at Paléo with my sister. It was exhausting, but a good experience! It was the first time I'd done anything like it so yeh.
We got 2 shifts of 2 hours and 2 breaks of 2 hours everyday until midnight so we got to go to quite a lot of concerts which was AWESOME!! That was also a first for me seeing as I've only ever been to free concerts (apart from seeing Katie Melua once with my parents).
We saw Phoenix, Alt-J, Arctic Monkeys, Santana, Blur and many others.

The week before that we went to the montreux Jazz festival, I wasn't a fan of the free concerts there.... but Meri says she saw George from AlunaGeorge so that's cool I guess :P It was fun anyway~

We had a friend over from Kenya the week before that and with her we went on walks, picnics, shopping trips etc..
And before that... oh yes my sister Phili was here! She's in Germany now but she'll come back soon :3

I've been recovering from last week and so I've done nothing but watch Yumeiro Patissiere (Yes, again. Yes, all of it.)  :P Yesterday I did do a lot of cleaning in the house....
Nananaaaaaaaaaaaa what else? I've been looking after Aya's cats for a week and watering her plants! Kinda scary at first cos I didn't see one of the cats until the third day!! And there was a storm so the flowers got a bit destroyed.. and then it was boiling so they dried out a bit. T-T
I had to dehead (?) them and water them a lot! But now it's fine I think :S Bref!

What else.... I really am writing everything about my life now aren't I! Oh yes, I chatted to David on Facebook on Saturday and he's made it to Nice!! Impressive indeed :3 He put up a lot of photos which is cool, and he seems really tanned!!

I think I'll shut up now. I need to write letters. Oh yeh a guy called Arno from Majamba was really cool :) He speaks Japanese! We talked a bit about anime and stuff in Japanese...

Oyasumi les amis! ^-^

Responsibility

So today I was talking to a friend and I asked her how it felt to be 18 and she said that you had to think a lot more about taking minors out with you because you're responisible for them. I wonder if I'll find it very different when I turn 18....
And I guess you can get a driving license too. I was trying to imagine how it would feel to be with someone younger and for something to happen to them, how would I react? I had gone into town to eat lunch with Anne and Selina and we talked about loaaaaads of things!
Later on I went to YWAM which stands for youth with a mission which is really cool, the worship was amazing, we even sang in korean at one point haha! :D
The BCC (bible core course) group had come back from a trip and they presented it with plays, rap and funny sketches!! What they'd done was study certain bible passages in the actual place the events happened! So they went to Egypt, Rome, Turkey etc... So cool! I would love to do something like that.
I went with Beatriz and 3 other friends :)
What else.... Oh! On Wednesday after meeting Brian at bubble tea to do japanese I went to Youthplanet with Bea! It was a special night with lots of announcements but it was still really good. I then said goodbye to Tessa who flew back to Canada today... I'm gonna miss her! I didn't know her for very long but it was always fun talking to her! And she gave me her red wellies, I'll always think of her when I wear them!!
So I said goodbye and it turned out the whole of skylab was there and they invited us to go get a drink with them so we did... They got 5l of beer!!! Mad...and we actually finished it! It was cool chatting and just being there.. :)
Tomorrow I've got to meet a lady called Laurence and her 2 daughters for a kind of interview! I'm trying to find a job so...hopefully I'll get it!! And then after that there's skylab, Bea should be coming.
I'm exhausted now so good night!! :)

13 Jun 2013

New phone

I got a new phone! At last! Haha :) It's a samsung galaxy pocket but prepaid so I don't have to spend 30 francs a month......
It's really cute! I downloaded whatsapp, fb messenger, kindle etc.. so yeh! It's so nice having something to read while I'm in the train or the bus.
The last post must seem very random..... so what happened is seeing as Johnny finished his GCSEs on Monday we thought we'd stay up all night, talking to eachother on facebook etc... We only lasted till 3.30 but it was good fun hehe. And I told him about my blog...and wrote Johnnnnyyyyyy!! lol :P

Anyways, I went to youth group today which was cool, we did the last 2 chapters of Découvre Dieu so it's the end of that and the youth group will go back to normal next week I suppose.. not really sure what it's normally like though!
I honestly have no idea why I'm still up.... I should be in bed, dreaming wonderful sweet dreams about lovely people, crazy cats and scary manga characters....
Speaking of manga, did I mention that I finished naruto? In a week! :P This is kinda bad but I'm quite happy with myself for reading it so quickly haha..... manga sure does consume A LOT of time though! I finally understand when people talk about naruto though so that's a plus. I also read Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) and it's FREAKY!!!!! I didn't really like the look of it but it was just.... so.. intriguing!! So yeh, read all the chapters there are so far and it's pretty exciting.

Another thing I did today was walking Ella in the woods and just sitting down, shutting out all outside noises and distractions and just having some quality time with my daddy :3 (I mean God btw....) It was just so amazing! I felt really at peace and I could just pray and speak of my troubles and they would be lifted from my shoulders instantly.

Listening to Whom Shall I Fear ... I should listen to more worship music, there's some really cool stuff. I'm learning how to play By Your Side on the guitar :) And also Big Black Car and a few other songs...
I've been told to learn how to juggle by Johnny... so that's my challenge for tomorrow.. and he has to make sushi haha :P I need to dig out my violin from inside the chaos that is our storage room downstairs....... it's madness. You literally have to climb ontop of tents and chairs and strange things that look like lumps of wood...........
What was  I talking about again....? Gahh my mind wanders too much! On the bus on the way back home I bumped into Felix! :) He was in my class in 7e and 9e but was in China in 8e.... but yeh, he's half american (I believe) so we spoke in English :)

I should stop writing. I'm tired ._. Nighty nighty fellow birds

Jesus Culture-Your love never fails <3 <3 <3 Love this song!!

No wonder I can't bring myself to go to bed.. the music is so good I want to stay to listen to it....

Peace and Tea <3

Nao :3 Nyan! Gn!

11 Jun 2013

Johnnyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hellooooooooo! How are you little juggler Monny? hope you're not too exhausted? :P I wonder if we'll manage to stay up all night......
Well done for finishing your GCSEs and have fun doing random juggling, guitar playing and cycling for 3 months!

Peace and tea ♥

Fun stuff

I just dyed David's hair blue! :D
That was fun, the way back home was not so fun though! I changed trains at Lausanne and the intercom came on saying that the next stop was Palézieux which is not where I wanted to go! I was ready to jump off the train and get another but it came on again saying the right stop!

Bref :) Yesterday YouthPlanet was cool aswell! There was a girl from school who came and we all played table football. Fun fun fun!

Okay so it's now Friday. Well it's actually 1 minute past midnight so technically it's already Saturday.... enfin bref.
Hummm so I just got back from Skylab which was just amazing! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! I helped organise the games and we did 2 games, one was 'your ideal man/woman' so you had to cut out parts of the body and stick all the bits together to make the ideal person...
The other game was 'Have you ever...' so we would say things like have you ever dressed up as a prince or a princess and if the answer was yes then you could stay standing and answer the next question. If your answer was no then you just sit down. And so the last person standing is 'the perfect man/woman' lol :P We put some really funny questions in!
We also made cupcakes :3 Om nom nom nom nom nom nommm

I'm so tired .__.

I was gonna write something really cool. But I forgot. So yeh, you'll just have to imagine something really awesome and that will be what I was gonna write.

Nyan! Gn my friends! ^_____^

Nao

I think I should just get everyone to call me Nao... I have never really said it's my nickname but 2 people called me Nao today!
Apart from that, I had a lovely day today, despite the rain, wind and hail. I thought it was Spring?!
So anyway, I went into Lausanne with my lovely little friend Aya and we spent our day looking at random stuff in the shops, eating quiche and drinking bubble teas :)
I found a shop called Uchitomi and it's full of Japanese things! It was so fun just going round looking at all the little snacks and weird seaweed toppings... ^_^
A bit expensive though!!

I got a matcha and calpis bubble tea and unfortunately it was ice cold so not very comforting when it's pouring outside! It tasted.. interesting to say the least! A peculiar mix.
We decided to get the train back quite early because of the rain and then Aya got a message from Lucien, a friend who is in Zurich on a short term exchange, saying he was in town for the weekend and did she want to meet him at Balzac, an awesome hot chocolate café!
So we went there and I actually went for a coffee instead of a hot chocolate because it is rather expensive... I wasn't disappointed though! It had cream and Indian spices in it and also a hint of chocolate I think! It was called café charmant. :)

I must point out that when we got back to our town, it was SUNNY! My appreciation for the place has increased. (I just wrote augmented and then had to think for a second to work out if it was even a word in English and when you would use it but decided against it and went for increased :P Apparently you use augment in financial situations?)

I should stop writing about random things now :) Time to tidy my room and make plans for the summer! My 3 month one that is ;)))))  Haha I'm so happy! Maybe I should go on a little bike trip around Switzerland! Or go to Germany or Spain.... All the possibilities!! *^*

24 May 2013

YAY

I just got a letter from the gymnase saying that I have passed my exams and there is no need to do the orals! I'm feeling ecstatic!!! :D
So to explain it briefly, I had 6 exam marks and I had to get an average of 3.5 (out of 6 that is) to get through to the orals. If after the orals I had a 4 average in all of my subjects I would pass!
But, if you manage to get a 4.5 average (27 points in total) in the written tests then you automatically pass without even having to do the orals! :)
I got:
French: 4.5
German: 3.5
English:5.5
Spanish:4
Maths:5
Physics+chemistry: 5.5
Total: 28 points
I'm so surprised  about the physics chemistry one!! I thought I'd get a 1....!!!

So yeh! That's that. I now have 3 months of holiday.  YAY! ^___^

13 May 2013

French exam...

Today I had my French exam!!! I don't really know how it went.. I didn't fully understand the text and the whole test  was based on it! So hopefully I got atleast some things right.. and for the argumentation I really don't know.. :S I wrote a lot of random things!! And uhh.... I don't actually know how to write an argumentative text so I was just making up most of it :P

Tomorrow I have German.. I've been revising for about an hour since I finished my French exam but I just feel like doing nothing now ._.
Johnny has his GCSEs at the moment so he also had a French exam today! (And at the same time too haha :P) I hope his exam went well :) And I guess all my friends from when I lived in England will be doing theirs too!!! Good luck everyone C:

This is gonna be the best day of my liife~ (American Authors)

MaybeI should go outside, it's nice and sunny ^____^

8 May 2013

Have you ever heard of a dreamer girl? ♥

Another Asa song!! Dreamer Girl... :)
Love it!

My tests both went terribly... in my chemistry there were loads of things I hadn't covered and in the physics one it was just extremely confusing @___@
Gaahhh (x__x) *dead*
I'm glad I don't have to do any more physics or chemistry for a few months!
Next up is French (on Monday!) So I need to study a lot. There's a lot of vocabulary and grammar stuff and then an argumentation that I'll have to write!
(No. I don't know how to write an argumentation!)

Baby baby
Close your eyes
Life's a dream
Maybe someday

One dayyyy~♪ ♥

My friends are having a BBQ at the lake tonight... It's for a friend's birthday so I should go but I don't feel like going out T__T

Some other friends are on a camp to train to become youth leaders (I think!) and apparently they'll have a bunch of challenges to do...  sounds fun haha :)

Why can't we be happy? ♪

Chemistry

Wow.. I really should have looked at all of this more carefully! I'm trying to understand isomérie and something or other topologique in the last hour I have ..xD
Atleast I have about an hour in the car to look at it aswell... .____.
And I don't understand moles and the Avogadro number or whatever it is..

*PAF*

NoooOOOoooOOoooo!!

And disaster strikes!!
I'm supposed to bring all sorts of material with me which I don't have cos I haven't been in the swiss schooling system for over a year and so I seem to have lost everything....
I managed to find some fountain pens after who knows how long and it's a good thing I thought to wash them cos at the exam you write in either blue or black and my pens had umm... pink and purple ink in them! ^.^ Oops! :P
So yeh, now I just need to find another calculator incase they accuse me of using a calculator too advanced or what not.. And also an 'équerre' ! Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
My exam starts in 3 hours.. I wonder which one I'll do first, chemistry or physics..?
Butterflies in my tummy... and ink all over my hands.

Pfft, silly me.

All that's left is to go for it and hope I understand atleast the questions.. :P

7 May 2013

Gaah

Oh dear! The information booklet says I should have received a periodic table of the elements??
I hope it all goes well tomorrow.. :S
I don't like exams.
I should probably go to bed soon so I'm not exhausted for the exam.. but I should try and do more work! :O mleh T-T

Exams

My exams start tomorrowwwwwwwwwww!!! :O
And I'm only beginning to understand chemistry and physcs now :P I hope they give us a nice and easy test but as one would say "Ahh let's give them an easy test so they don't all fail" said NO TEACHER EVER.

Bref.
You will be my man, and I will be your woman everyday~ ♪ (Be my man-Asa)
I really need to work and stop thinking.. and daydreaming.. and remembering exciting adventures!!!

I'll put the lyrics to that song:

My mama used to tell me girl it ain't that cool
To see a man you love
And start to act the fool
Tell me what's a girl in love supposed to do
Tonight, I'm breaking mama's rule

Baby there's alot of thing's I want to say
I'm in love with you its driving me insane
I know am sounding stupid but is it ok
To be your woman everyday

you will be my man
And I will be
Your woman everyday

Ooh baby we can take a walk araound the park
And I can cook you dinner, it won't be so bad
Or we can laugh and talk about the friends you've had
And all the ones that made me mad

Ooh baby baby, we can stay up all night
We can argue, we can even start a fight
And I can laugh and say i love the way you smile
and everything will be just fine

You will be my man
And I will be
Your woman everyday. ♥

What else.. oh yeh I went to Skylab on Friday and then afterwards went to Balelec with David which was very exciting!!! :D And painful and tiring and all sorts xD I  got home at 5 am O_o Slept at 6, got up at 7 and went to clean up a park for hours the next day! No wonder I'm so tired haha :P

One funky song to dance to is C2C- Down the road.

Bubble Tea and a Purple Yeti

Yum yum yum :)) Yesterday I went to the Bubble Tea shop with some friends and we just chatted.. and played Ico Mania... And drank bubble tea :3 Then I met up with Olivia who was also in Japan and we went back to the Bubble Tea place! So I had the raisin one with loads of fruit jelly lumps and then the taro + coconut + milk one.. :D It was purple!
Then.. went to Youthplanet and we watched a video about suffering and in our little group we had a huge discussion about it!! It was really good talking just the 4 of us :)
And afterwards, table football and random chit chats and dancing lol.

I did loads of work today! Got up at 8 and did physics! I still don't understand very well but I'm getting there :) I tried to do the test from last year and read lots of theory and got really confused with my calculator and aaaaaaaagghhhh! Did chemistry too which was nicer cos at the moment all I have to do is learn it, understand it and yeh.. not think about weird laws of physics ._.

I kept daydreaming and getting distracted and thinking about people.... Oops!
There's a person on 8tracks called MindBodySpirit and she does such cool mixes!! *___* She's helped me get through all this work I have to do.
I should do some German or Spanish..

Gn my imaginary friends :)

Ps: I have a purple yeti called Ikuta Yukiko! ♥

I should be doing chemistry.. but I feel like talking about yesterday so nah!
So, in the afternoon I went to a séance d'information to find out more about my exams (which are in 2 weeks!!! 'O')
So that was interesting.. anyway! We drove back and I went to the church I've started going to recently cos there's a youth group there on Wednesdays!
I got there early so I introduced myself and there were 2 girls Célia and Emilie and they chatted to me and we set everything up :) People kept coming in and I didn't remember many names.. but yeh!
We ended up doing the same thing as I did in the other group last week cos this group's a week behind but oh well :D It was interesting hearing their point of view. David came too and he knew some people which was cool :)
We split into lots of small groups to talk about the video and in our group there was a non-christian so we went a bit off topic sometimes but yeh, it was really good talking to everyone :) Sophia is really spiritual and amazing at talking (and singing!!) so she was explaining things to him which was cool!
There was also a guy who has had a terrible experience and he acually shared it with us and we all prayed.. I was just so touched, and sad.. and started crying... anyway!

It was just.. really cool :)
Afterwards we stayed back and played table football which was fun!! I'm terrible at it.. but I got some points! And when we created the English team we were invincible! (With or without me on the team lol, David is too good at it!)

Ended up getting home really late but oh well :D It was so fun!
Can't wait till next week! (Except I can cos I need to work loads.. and next week I'll only have a week before my exams ._.)

I'm going to a little event at school tonight~ kind of like a concert.. :)
yay!

Church

It's been a while since I last wrote anything on this!! (Well.. not very long but seeing as I have nothing to do apart from study.. :P)

So! I'm gonna talk about church. Every week I go to an English speaking church close to where I live and it's really cool there, I have lots of friends and the pastor speaks really well.
I've been going there for about 3 years so there are some people I know very well but because it's English speaking, lots of people who come are expats who come and go!
So anyway, a friend was telling me about all these things happening at his church, for example healings and speaking in tongues or baptisms in the holy spirit and I was just getting confused.. because I know about these things but only vaguely, I've never actually experienced them.

So I decided to go further into the city and went to the evening service at a French speaking church for youth (the evening service is for the youth and the morning one is more for families!).

Bref.

I went there by myself which in a way was a good thing, coz whenever I'm with someone I know, I just stick to them and don't go to talk to other people much. So being by myself, I had to go up to someone and talk to them (it sounds easy but I find it really hard .__.)  and they were really friendly!!

They kept passing me along, introducing me to more and more people!
Once the actual service started I was amazed coz the worship was like a concert, unlike the worship I'd seen in the morning at my church with everyone still half asleep...!!!!!
It was so cool to see people being so enthusiastic about God :)

A girl called Noémie was really nice to me and showed me around and sat with me and everything :) David joined us after a while which was also cool.
After the worship they had a video and also a little 'sketch' and then a message and at the end you could write down prayer requests or go talk to people and socialize..it was just a really nice atmosphere!
I loved it so much that I decided to go to one of the bible study groups on Wednesday. It was strange at first because everyone was atleast 4 years older than me! There were even some late 20 yr olds!
But yeh, they were all so friendly that after a while it just seemed really normal to be with them.
I loved it when we split into tiny groups to discuss things because when there are only 3 or 4 of you, it's much easier to have everyone talking and not just a few.

Wow this is getting long!

Going to a French speaking church is also good for me because I'm not speaking any French at the moment which is terrible T____T I need to talk a lot more to get back into the habit.

This Sunday there's an event at my friend's church so I'll probably spend my whole day at church (es). lol!

I should stop there coz this is mega ultra super duper long now!

God bless everyone who reads this :) (If anyone does??)

Books

Books books books!! So many books I want to reeeaaad!
The last time I read through a book (well.. 3 books)  basically non-stop was when I read The Hunger Games, they're so good! I couldn't stop reading :O

I bit all my nails off while reading coz it was so exciting u_u

So yeh, I STILL haven't finished reading Birds without wings.... mleh :(
There are lots of christian books I'd like to read too. Like The Shack and.. can't remember any other names at the moment but there are plenty of them! Maybe I'll read them on my dad's kindle after my exams :D

I tried to read a book in German but gave up after a few pages.. >__<
It's really hard trying to study.. I keep getting distracted and writing in my blog and stuff ._.

Right! Time to work now. T____T

Church and other random things

Today, I went to France to eat raclette at my parents' friend's house and me and Meri took a boat back to Switzerland and we had wanted to visit a church somewhere in the area...
There was just one problem. We hadn't checked the boat times and so we got a boat at quarter past 4 and the service was supposed to start at 4.30! It takes half an our to cross the lake and we had to get metros and stuff too so by the time we got to this church we were an hour late!
We decided to go back into town to see if a friend was at her house, but couldn't work out how to ring her doorbell coz she lives in a flat and the system is really weird...!! (AND we're blond!!)
So we walked around loads.. not doing anything.. then thought about going to a Jazz festival but it wasn't close enough for us to use our train tickets to get there.. so we went home.. and when I checked the church site again it said that the service was at 7 this sunday... oh well ^^"
I'll just have to try again next Sunday :P

So yeh! That was an eventful day! We had pancakes for dinner.. yum ^-^

I've been wanting to go visit new churches for a while now.. I want to see what it's like in French and also hear different kinds of worship etc.. :D

Listening to this mix atm: https://8tracks.com/nicole-foley-5/esmerelda

It's so cool!!! :D :D :D

I should stop there, this is getting long!

Double Mleh.

There's too much going on. Too much to handle. And yet all of that stuff just feels insignificant now.
It's a horrible feeling to dread something for a year and for it to actually come true just when you think everything will be alright.
I have so many things going on in my mind at the moment, and yet I feel like it's just empty.

Lindsey Stirling

That awesome feeling when you realise you haven't yet listened to all of her songs on youtube *-*
I've known Lindsey's music for quite a while but it's only when David mentioned her that I started listening to her again and there are some awesome videos!
I love Crystallize and Elements and...well all of them :D
Atm I'm listening to Adele ft. Lindsey *____* First time hearing it and it's amazing!
The mission impossible and the we found love videos are my favourites ^__^
Wow... I'm discovering loads of different mixes  now!! I have something to listen to while studying :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

(Ha.. I always get so obsessed with these kind of things :P)
Now I'm listening to Grenade...

And just to talk about something else; I went to a 'comedie musicale' called The way Back yesterday and it was really cool!! There was one lady who was SO GOOD at singing! She sang Skyfall and something else.. can't remember..^^
I went with Meri and also Doane and Pierrick coz we had gone to their house for lunch after church so we thought we might go with them :)
So yeh :D It was really cool! And we saw some people we knew, Naomi from church and her family and David and also some of Meri's friends.. ^__^
I feel a bit bad coz when I saw David on his phone just spacing out on the bus stop seat then I ran over and used his head to do a huge jump haha!! It was just so tempting :P I don't think he got hurt? :P

Amparanoia

Chavela Vargas

Cultura Profetica

La Kinky Beat

Los Redondos

Lucha Reyes

Manu Chao

No idea what they're like but I guess I'll try listening to them :)
I quite like listening to Enrique Iglesias's spanish songs.. ^-^

Some more are: Los Rakas, Juanes, Jorge Drexler, Julieta Venegas, Cristian Castro (No podras), Juan Luis Guerra(Ojala que llueva cafe), La llorona, Lhasa DeSela...
That's enough I should think ^-^

Birds without wings

I'm reading a book called Birds without wings by  Louis de Bernieres and I haven't got very far yet but I must say I found this part funny:

Veled gives a cigarette to his camel and explains:
"It's from always walking behind me. He got used to the smoke from my cigarettes, and then he got to like it, and now he won't do anything until I let him have a smoke first."

lol..!!

Anyway, I'll go back to reading now ^___^

Nanananaaaa

There are so many clocks in this house..!! So hard to concentrate.
Pff I feel like a geek.. It's so annoying when you're waiting for someone to answer so you keep checking your phone/facebook.. anything.. and every time you look there's nothing, but when they finally answer, you're so happy and so you answer straight away.. x)

I think I'll go get my book..

Interpreting and translating

I've been talking to my grandma about interpreting or translating and she said that simultaneous interpreting is a very stressful career because you have to listen to what someone is saying, understand it thoroughly and formulate that in the 2nd language while saying what the person had said 5-10 seconds previously!!

Translating would be with written material, so less stress but you'd have to have a broad knowledge of both cultures.

I don't know if I would be able to do either to be honest, but I feel like I should try!

Who knows.. by the time I can even think about getting a job, they might have amazing machines everywhere that translate simultaneously... or robots.
Imagine if we just had robots and machines for everything! No more jobs for the humans.. apart from the people who invent/make/repair the robots I guess O_o

I could just busk in the streets, and use my languages for songwriting :P

Mleh? Helm?

My friend wrote a story for me yesterday. An awesome story about a unicorn, and I'd like to illustrate it!
That would be epic.
I just have to do it. But I probably won't, coz I'm that kind of person.

Listening to this mix atm http://8tracks.com/mainhannah/favourite-worship-music
Meri sent it to me, it's cool :)

Mleh.. I'm in a weird mood today .__.  I want to read my book, to draw, to do more Spanish and many other things. I just haven't done them! Apart from the Spanish that is :P

I've still got sand in my shoes~ (Dido)

Hmmm humm hummm.... me  aburro? mleh ._.

Letter in Spanish

Right. So yesterday I wrote a letter in Spanish to work on making sentences and stuff.
And here it is, it's very  random but yeh :P

Querida Barbara,

Recientemente he comenzado a hacer camping. Si quieres, vamos hacer camping juntas. Podriamos hacer mucho juntas. Me alegro de verte.

Un abrazo

Naomi

Obviously there are many mistakes seeing as I'm not very good at Spanish.. and I can't use the Spanish accents or anything but yeh :)
Hopefully when I look back at this post in a year or so I'll be able to say "Ahaha I used to be so rubbish a Spanish compared to now!"

My grandma told me that the average person has a limit to how many languages they can know. And it's around 6!

It would be cool to be able to speak 6 languages... But I'd like to speak more than that!
English, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Poruguese, Italian, Chinese and Korean (that's what I have in mind anyway.. who knows, I might decide to learn arabic or something :P )

Thoughts

I don't really know why I write so much these days, it must be to free me from my boredom or something. As if I didn't have more important things to do!! I really need to do some more Spanish, and I can't really say I can't work because of my cold.. Because that's not a good excuse, even if I do have one.

Anyway.

I met up with my sister Phili last night which was amazing!! It was so nice being just the 2 of us so we could talk as much as we wanted.
So we talked about what's been happening in our lives the past year.. (It feels so weird to not see my siblings all the time and yet so normal coz I'm used to it... Hopefully we'll all meet up this summer, I couldn't last year coz I was in Japan!)
And so we were talking and we got onto the subject of jobs. I still don't really know what I want to do or even can do, but I'm thinking something to do with languages.
There are loads of things I could do I just don't know about them so it would be cool to go to a university and see what courses they have :)

At one point I was thinking I could go to Africa or China or something and teach English (Or French or something..) aswell as telling them about the gospel and so I'd have to do a course on theology too...but I don't think I really want to be a teacher!!

I might change my mind at some point I guess, we'll see.

Another thing I could do is translate. I always thought I should try it, but the thing is I'm no good at translating, let alone translating simultaneously into several languages! I'd have to work really hard for that, and there are more and more people who speak many languages so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a job.

I saw a video on yahoo recently about a man who was in his 20s I think, and he speaks 11 languages. Imagine being able to speak so many languages!
It would be AWESOME!!!!!!!
I set myself a goal: to speak 5 languages fluently before I'm 20. I don't know how easy this will be.. I mean I'm 16 now and I speak English, French and Japanese. However, my level in all of these languages is well.. very low! I went to school in English until I was 11 and then had to learn French and just when I was getting the hang of it I went and decided to go to Japan for a year! Which improved my Japanese a lot but didn't help with my English and French. Or my German..

At the moment I'm learning Spanish and not doing too well. I'm also studying German for my exams.

So if you count all the languages I'm studying or have been studying, it makes 5! I just have to become fluent in all of them. Easier said than done :P

This is getting really long.. and I've forgotten the whole point of this post.

Mleh.

I'll continue in another post I think ^^'

Nao

Snowboarding and England

So! On Friday, I had another little adventure :) My mum drove me and my brother over to France to go snowboarding for the afternoon! We had planned on staying in Switzerland but couldn't find anywhere with enough snow and pistes so we went over the border and ended up just staying there :D

It was sooo nice! It was a school day so it was basically empty, and the sun was out and the snow was brilliant! Not soft powder snow but it wasn't icy or slushy which is good ^___^

I tried to snowboard switch, I'm goofy so I was just trying to snowboard normally.. but it's HARD!!
It feels so wrong and it makes me feel like a complete beginner again o_o
(Not that I'm much better boarding goofy..)
My brother had a week of lessons a few weeks ago so he knew how to do switch and he was trying to show me how to carve aswell! It's not very hard.. but I can't seem to do it very well ToT
He also showed me how to do 180s.. just when you're going down the mountain, you start turning and then you jump round.. it's confusing..!!
Especially when he's normal and I'm goofy so it's the other way round for everything.

Well anyway, I tried twice and then decided I wanted to try it when there was softer snow, just to be safe, so we went up the lift one last time and raced down! :) I won, but only coz someone cut infront of Nat and then he forgot to turn left towards the cafe where our parents were waiting :P Nyahaha

I'm glad I went snowboarding again! even if it was only an hour ^^

What else? Oh yes, so on Saturday I went and got on a plane and flew to England! My grandparents met me at the airport and we went to an indian restaurant, YUM! I had a cider.. just because xD
And then on Sunday I went with my grandad to a pub in Birmingham where he played with his jazz band :) It was really cool ^-^ And it was St Patrick's day so everyone was wearing green hats and drinking guinness ^^ I had a ginger beer..

Then went to Jimmy Spices which was cool, I tried loads of different things :) And... what else? I did some Spanish with my grandma :D (That's one of the reasons I came here, to learn Spanish).

Right, lunchtime :)

Oh and here is a trailer to a book my friend has written .. :) I can't imagine writing a book.. It's 294 pages long (I think..)  and yeh :) Just sharing it round ^^ It's called The Phoenix Feather.

Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3c2MbVwQWs&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Exams and cats

Why is it so hard to study.. .__.

The only thing I've done today is some German..!!!! Mleh :(

I really need to work more coz I have less than 2 months till the exams now..

Lalalalaaaa ... Just give me some candy~ (Candy-Paolo Nutini) Got that song stuck in my head.. ^^

I'm actually warming to cats... I don't like them as much as dogs, but they have their good sides too I guess.. and they can be adorable sometimes!! (when they're not scratching you.. T-T)
What else? :)

Rainymood

I have started listening to most of my music with rainymood on in the background.. I don't know why but it just makes me feel so relaxed.. and it  helps me study :)

Right now I'm listening to Just friends by Jason Reeves with rainymood.
Ed Sheeran and Lucy Rose are also nice to listen to with it.. I think it would go well with most songs really!

Rain <3

And now Every avenue- Between you and I

I love it when you get lost on this side of youtube :) Loads of songs I don't know but go really well with rainymood.

I've been looking for cool German music recently and I like CRO and Tim Bendzko ^__^

Oh and it's my dad's birthday so Happy Birthday dad!!! :) <3

Okay! :) So that's some pics of Japan! And I'll write something else in my blog another time.. :) I could put a pic of me snowboarding too :D

Yay! I LOVE SNOWBOARDING!!!!!

Little things that can bring so much happiness

So, on Saturday evening I had gone to a sermon about Biblical Manhood and Womanhood and it was all good but it was getting later and later and I was with my sister and we had to get a bus back home and we were thinking about how we would get home if we missed the last bus...

But if we had left early we would never have experienced what happened in that particular bus at half 10. So we were waiting at the bus stop, staring at the junction where the bus should come round the corner, when we both go "huh??". We had both seen different things but they made us equally surprised! What I had seen was a guitar, in a bus! And what Meri had seen was a weird red hat with pointy bits and bobbles on it.
As the bus got nearer my grin was just getting wider and wider! We got on it and as soon as we sat down, some Spanish guy was asking us in French if we had requests. They didn't know the song I gave so they played a spanish song instead but it was so cool! I turned around to watch the guy with the guitar (he was really good!!) and I got another surprise! There was a giant monkey! (toy)
And so they were playing these songs and they were singing along (There were 5 of them I think) and the people in the bus had started singing too!
It was so fun :D
They played Is This Love and some other things and it  was cool coz every time the bus stopped, someone would get on and you could see how they reacted.. :DD
Most people would look surprised and then just laugh!! People outside the bus could hear aswell so they would start singing on the pavements ^_^

At one point one guy took his hat off and pretended to ask for money as if they were busking!

The bus driver didn't seem bothered either.. he seemed quite amused really :P

So me and Meri got off at the station and jokingly gave the group a coin xD I told them how cool it  was and they should do it more often haha, and they saked if we wanted to join them coz they were having a party (Antonio's party apparently :P) We declined but it  was still cool of them to ask ^-^

So yeh..  that was long.. !!!
It just made my day.. :) (And that is impressive coz in the morning I'd gone to the ladies breakfast and had cake and muffins...yum!! blueberry muffins! ( * ^ * ) )

Back at home

Hello~
My friend has pointed out to me that I haven't updated my blog in a long time and I guess that's just because I now see the only people who read it so I don't feel as much need to update it but anyway.. :)

I've been back in Switzerland for almost 2 months now and it feels nice to be back, even if I do miss Japan a bit..!!
I've been studying for exams which are in May and I also hope to get a job at some point!

Now that I've said what's going on in my life, time for some randomness!
I have started snowboarding this year, I went on an oakhall ski camp in Italy with family and friends which was amazing!!! I got there only to find out that they didn't have snowboarding lessons which was a shame but it didn't matter too much because my friend David is an awesome snowboarder and so he taught me the basics, yay! :D Even if it was a bit mad going on a red slope the first day..!! And a black slope the 2nd day haha... that was scary x) It was an awesome week, we stayed in a lovely 4 star hotel (I think?)  and I got to know loads of cool people :)))
Including another snowboarder who's a nurse and who just got married, she was awesome! And a guy called Johnny who is the same age as me and who is a juggling champion! And also kendama! (japanese yay!!) so yeh, cool cool~

On the last day Me, Meri, David and Johnny went off piste and we did a jump!! I didn't land.. but Johnny and David did! :)) There were some goPro people filming us and they said they'd send the video to us which is cool, still waiting for it tho..

How am I writing so much? O_o I must be bored..
I'm on RainyMood.com atm.. it's so cool! you can listen to youtube videos with rain in the background!!!!!!!!
What else.. oh yes I listened to Sunshine and City Sights by Greyson Chance for the first time today and it's really good. I should find an 8tracks mix with him in it...

What else? O-h! I dyed my hair RED!!! ^____^

Can you see that it's red? Kinda? :) I redyed it since so it's redder now :3

I'll stop there I think... Toodles!
